I'm Episcopalian, and my favorite priest is a guy that was in the English army for years before he was stationed in Ireland and had parts of his body blown off. He bacame a priest saying fuck all the killing and hate and violence. There's too much. He's the gentlest guy, and his sermons are powerful as well. He met his wife there, a reporter covering the violence years ago
maybe you need to be a little older to remember the savagery of the troubles in Northern Ireland, but the hate was savage and brutal and indiscriminate.
