The problem with the nation isn't left or right. Most americans are centrists. The fact that the right feels the need to denigrate and try to humiliate the left and vice versa is much more a serious problem than that of the actual positions.
What happens when this becomes a 1 party country? can anyone say either communism or facism? Can anyone here tell me what Stalin did once the Bolsheviks took power?

Trosky was killed. Once the revolution was over and the Bolsheviks took power the struggle was more freedom or a tight federal government..... Stalin won...he killed Trosky (who by the way was more popular at that time) and erased Trosky's name from history books.
To take your party's line and hold it as the only way of life and to belittle the other is not only ignorant but suicidal to the nation. Balance not only in power but in every aspect. There is NO BALANCE EVER in a 1 party system.
So take your hatred and choke on it, because obviously your blind patriotism is leading you down that road.
