Yep.
The original AUSTIN mini was a British car produced from 1968 to 1982. Over the years it had 4 different engines from 0.8 to 1.3 liters and powers from 34hp to 76hp.
I remember a brand new mini in 1982 would set you back about 4, 000 bucks. Today's Mini Cooper S is about $40,000 I think.
Sigh.
I still catch myself saying "Austin" mini. But sadly they aren't Austins anymore. BMW merely bought the name and concept from Austin Rover, or what is left of it.
I don't even know where these new ones are built.
