Alright, this might not help you now, but it will in the future. Heed my words.
When you spill something (paint, oil, Gatoraid, whatever) , quickly blot up what you can without pressing the liquid further into the fabric, then LEAVE IT ALONE. Let it dry if it's going to dry. Just let it be.
Do not mess with it again until you are ready to totally attack the problem. Research the problem. Get the needed supplies. Once you are ready to get the stain out, work on it until it is out. Stopping halfway through and tossing it into the wash is going to leave you with stained clothes, 9 out of 10 times.
Sadly, I don't know the antidote for Gatoraid.
My arsenal of stain-removers includes - WD40 for oily stains, cold water for blood, Spray N Wash for just about everything, soda water for baby puke on nice clothes, and hair spray for ink.
