i bought one of the first ps2's to come out. After a little more than a year it wouldn't power up. I returned it with my Metal Gear Solid disk stuck in the drive. Long story short, i ended up getting credit for the console, but never heard from my game again. (i suppose that is to be expected)

I know that problems like that are rare, but they do seem to be more common than a person would expect from a videogame console. I've been playing my NES and SNES for years and years, no problems yet. They don't build-em like they used ta
