That's very true, and the population of the U.S. is gradually getting more and more obese over time. Serving sizes are just increasing.
But nevertheless, that's a pretty funny story...I dunno what I would have done if I had been the person in the car. I probably would have drove up to the window and beat the shit out of the person that was taking my order!
