I think one of the points that was made is interesting. The dog is a 2 year old Golden Retriever. What might that dog cost if purchased directly from a breeder? I think it stinks too. I wonder if the adopting woman personally knows anyone in that branch of the HS. I wouldn't be suprised if someone tipped her off, and held the dog back somehow.
One remote possibility is that the dog was being walked on the three occasions that the owner was in the facility searching. I suppose it could be possible if she went at the same time each day like during a lunch break.
It stinks, the dog needs to go to the original owner.
However, I did vote Yes. I don't see anything wrong with the policy. If you voted No, you better donate a heck of a lot of money to your local HS in order to support a longer holding period.
