I had a space between my 2 top front teeth and had perfect bottom teeth. Dentists always told me that braces would fix the problem, but my teeth were fine and I didn't "need" to get it fixed. I lived with it for 25 years and hated to smile in any pictures or if I met anyone. I decided to bite the bullet and get veneers put on and right after that I felt like a new person.
I have a son now who has a small space in his teeth and he will have no choice but to get braces when he is old enough. I do not want him to grow up feeling the same way I did.
