Plain allegra is an antihistamine which usually does not give any stimulant side effects like palpatations. Allegra-D has a decongestant added which has stimulation as its main side effect.
If you just took the plain allegra, make sure you haven't been eating/drinking anything with a stimulant-soda, chocolate, supplements, coffee, etc. and if you haven't, and the palpatations continue, go back to your doc for a check to rule out other conditions that can cause it(like hyperthyroidism)
BTW nasally inhaled steroids usually do not cause palps either
