2ndary NTFS drive, Access Denied.. Help..
I have a Dell 8200 running XP Pro and I installed a second hard drive on it formatted as NTFS. I reinstalled XP on the master drive after backing up to the second hard, and since then I have not been able to access my secondary drive.
I get an error "D:\ is not accessible. Access denied". It shows in my computer as "Local Drive (D:", but there is no size shown by it niether in maximum capacity or available space. If I look in the properties of it, it shows as having RAW data, but all 0's everywhere. If I look in Disk Management, my drive is shown as active, healthy, and I can see the name of it, as well as the size of the partitions and available space.
For whatever reason, I can't access the drive. I have the same computer name, login name, and password as I did previously. As far as I can tell, this is a problem involved with NTFS file permissions and me being kept out because it's acting like I stole my drive. Anybody have an idea of how I can get these files off the drive? I need them, really bad.
Thanks a lot..
