............enable technologies to help people communicate, allow free speech in a range of new forms.........
.........root out the evil once we identify it.............
.........but arent' these the same evils before we knew to communicate?
I have no desire to pass judgement, just to face the facts.
The technology will allow all sorts of new monsters an outlet that people should be wary of.
The government will feel it necessary to protect the people, and prosecute the offenders.
The businesses will find a way to handle that need, molding technology into more products.
Is it already hapenning?
Is it inevitable?
Perhaps it makes more sense to realize that the evils and monsters have always existed, and their development has less to do with technology, and more to do with something else.....
Culture, maybe?
