Lots of people here are lucky to live in a safe place. Just go about 20 miles due south of where I live and you're in Mexico, in a city that is pretty much a hardcore "party city" because the legal drinking age is 18. I went down there once to see a doctor because doctors up here in the states are so damn expensive, and within 20 minutes my license plates were gone. Had to get new ones... and I was lucky as hell that they didn't steal anything else. No one I know in this city keeps their doors unlocked... except for my best friend's family. For some reason everyone likes them... actually they're really likeable people. As for me... door locked, always, no matter what. Safety concerns? Eh... well security isn't a major problem here, but there are always things to swing around neaby is such be the case. A couple of baseball bats, and some wodden katanas that my dad made himself out of oakwood

Aren't I just the weirdest person in the world? I even give myself chills! :: shivers::
