Soooooooo . . . .
I totalled my car on the 21st. My fault. Rammed my corolla into the back of a Dodge pickup. You know the story, my car totalled, and 0 damage to the pickup. . . yay raised trucks.
I'm sorta screwed, I was under my parent's insurance, but i moved out two years ago, and they stated that though they'll honor my salvage, I have to get my own insurance coverage because I no longer live with them.
I was looking at Tundras and Silverados. I'm tired of little cars. Now that I found out this recent info of the insurance, i'm looking at a Tacoma or a motorbike.
As it stands, I only have to get from point A to point B (my work is righ tnext to my house, and school is only a couple minutes away on the freeway). If I get a car, I'll have to get a roommate, move out, and essentially find a new place to live. I have no problem with this other than if I have to commute, that car/truck is necessary.
If I stay at my apartment, living single, I could afford a motorbike (crotchrocket, not a chopper), and insurance as well.
In similar situations, i'm curious of people who've worked this out. How are motorbikes in teh long run? Obviously in the summer, its a sweat fest, and in teh winter you have to wear extra clothes. THere is greater risk, but i'm not going to be doing a whole lot of riding. Getting groceries will have to go in a back pack, etc, but I live right next to the grocery store, so no real big deal there.
Any reccomendations?
FYI: I don't like american rides. I'm going for a used car, and Toyotas are my cup of tea. they last forever, even in higher mileages. if I get a motorcycle, i might go new.. it woudl be smartest.
SO .. any ideas, any reccomendations, any ideas for making me think, i'd appreciate it.
Thank you, in advance
