im using a motorola 4101 cable modem. A Belkin 4 port router. I cant find a part# for it. Im hooking the cable modem up to PC1 via usb. then im hooking port1 of routert to ethenet of PC1. And port2 of router to ethernet of pc2. I can get the net up one pc1 great. And had net up on pc2 a few times but soon as i restart on pc2 i loss it....im on adelphia power link cable internet..im using all cat5 cables and the one usb for the modem...both computers are in same room so they can see them selfs...
you said sumtin about having a uplink. what do u mean?
if anyone can think of any more info i need lemme know
