You can't be too attached to what you're comfortable with.
If you don't take chances on new experiences you'll wind up never really leaving home. Think of people who go to foreign countries to study, or who go to Washington for internships, or can move across country for a great new job.
It's scary but it pays off big time... and you'll always make new friends.
