I hope that you are drinking responsibly - a brother of one of my friends killed himself over a girl just 2 weeks ago. It is truely not worth it.

That's the best first step that I could suggest. Hit the gym, pick up an old hobby, join a club - all will get your mind into new things and the opportunity of meeting new people.
