It sounds like she made a move on you, and when you didn't respond how she thought you would, she got ticked. Asking her out might solve it, it might not. Women tend to think their signals are like beacons instead of being so subtle that we miss them. It is possible that it is too late (it all depends on whether she is too irrationally pissed off or not), but in all likelihood it isn't too late.
