I can tell you that a female friend dearly regrets a mistake she made with the lifestyle. Her male partner introduced her to a couple, and they had a group encounter. Condoms were used for all intercourse, but she ended up getting genital herpes. What happened was that the lady of the other couple had herpes. The men were fingering both ladies, without washing hands, and she ended up exposed. Now she has something she can never get rid of. Although condoms do make things safer, you have to really be vigilant about ANY contact with body fluids etc. It's really easy to forget that in the excitement of the moment.
