Erm... there's two "Poem of the week" posts from the past 10 days alone. Either of those are pretty short and quite memorable, though Larkin's may not be suitable for school.
There was also a recent thread devoted entirely to poems that people memorized.
However, here is an especial favourite of mine.
He Wishes For The Cloths Of Heaven by William B Yeats
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
Quite beautiful if you ask me.
