I have to add
Bela Fleck and the FLecktones : lots of their stuff but esp. Big Country (amazing steel drums) and Vic Wooten doing Improv on Amazing Grace off of their last live album, Live at the Quick.
Tim Reynolds: I also enjoy quite a few numbers by this man. I've seen him in concert twice and he's just a kick ass guitarist. my favorites are : Put the Gas Mask On, Chatterbox, and Stream. He is amazing to see live simply for the improvisations.
