So you defend nuking two port cities, killing mostly nothing but innocent people. I really can't accept that. It is opinions like these that make sure horrible things like these will always repeat itself. If Hitler won the war, there would probably be people sitting around right now defending to use of consentration camps one way or another.
Your country did something unacceptible. Sure, a real attack would create great causalties, but the war was technically over, and as mentioned earlier in the thread, there were other options aviable besides mutual destrucion. In a real attack, the people being killed would be military as well, atleast to a greater degree, not 99% innocent civilians who just happened to be born in the country, and thus deserved to die to "set an example".
