I have been in your shoes for so long now, I can't even remember when it began. And the truth is, it sucks. However, you really have to search your heart and find out what is true. Don't listen to the people who tell you that the situation is hopeless, maybe it is, maybe it isn't - love is something that takes a lot of work, sometimes even suffering and is often hopeless.
My suggestion would be this. Really think about how much you have to give this girl, and then find out if you think that she's really worth the time and effort. You could be waiting for years, but your reward could last for eternity.
