Yeah, it has everything to do with Chuck being from the UFC and Rampage being a darling of PRIDE. UFC President Dana White has even put a significant amount of money on Liddell so I can only guess that Takada would want to stick it to him. You're right though, whoever wins will be nice and softened up for Silva to finish.
The fight I really don't want to see is Sakuraba-Randleman. I'm almost certain that DSE and PRIDE are trying to kill Saku. He loses to Schembri, then they feed him to Silva three times! He should go over to the UFC as soon as possible and fight guys his own size. Nobody wants to see an MMA legend horribly brain damaged.
