Are you waking up on your own or using an alarm?
A problem for a lot of college students is that they have delayed sleep onset, meaning that the neurochemical changes normally meant to keep people up during the late afternoon and early evening kick in later at night. Hence, they can't fall asleep until early in the morning, but still have to wake up for early classes.
The health effects of this are rather severe, and its not safe to drive a car when you're too sleep deprived.
