Concept Car: Lexus LF-S
New Lexus To Head Tokyo Show-stoppers
his is the shape of things to come for the next Lexus GS430. And if you think it's radical, wait until you discover what's under the bodywork.
The car aims to rival BMW's 7-Series and Mercedes' S-Class, and it's clear Lexus is daring to be different in styling as well as technology. With a 4.3-litre V8 hybrid engine producing more than 300bhp, the car is four-wheel drive and promises to set a new performance benchmark for Lexus in August 2005.
It's also likely to offer brake-by-wire technology, which has so far featured only on Mercedes production cars. The newcomer is important for two reasons. Not only will it be the first Lexus to be created entirely by the new research and development team, it will also be the first Lexus-badged car in Japan.
After launch, the GS430 will be joined by the production model of the LF-X concept, a more powerful version of the RX300. The GS wasn't the only star of the Tokyo Motor Show - below are some of the more unusual cars...

*edit* - forgot to put my own comment on it.
I don't like the "Probe" style mirrors, where the wedge goes right up to the mirrors. The large grill isn't "Lexus" to me. It looks cheap.
