I rent what movies I like, and I go to the movies alone. It took me awhile to do that, but now I kind of enjoy it. Last winter I was supposed to go see LOTR with a friend of mine but he flaked out on me. So I just went on my own. Then this summer I saw Seabiscut by myself.
There's no harm in going alone

Agreed. Most of the time I go alone.
And when you go alone, you know that you wont have to listen to complaints from someone in the group that doesn't really want to see that movie.
