This guy states that the Matrix promotes people wanting to be 'wired'. I think it is exactly the opposite. In the movie the humans are going against the machine and those born naturally can't have and don't want implants. Someone logging my every move and then somehow using it? That seems a bit of overkill. How could any person or machine manage all that data for me, let alone the thousands or hundreds of thousands of people this guy proposes will be 'watched'?
Beyond the movie, implants are coming and each of us will have to choose if they want the benefits of them versus the drawbacks. If you want to read a good book about the future of computer implants, read Ray Kurzwiel's "The Age of Spiritual Machines." It's not nearly as threatening and actually puts a hopeful note on the whole man/machine interface discussion. Then again, it may be more Illumanati propaganda.
