killswitch is new metal, but not "nu-metal". there's some great old-school riffing in their songs, and melodic choruses amidst the rather harsh backdrop of the music. there's no danger of them riding the linkin park, hoobastank, staind, etc coattails, because they're simply nothing like those bands.
