Glad you got the car back. You really need to move to a small town in Wis. I go to the grocery store and often see a car minus any passengers parked in the parking lot and running.
My parents never lock their house or car and they've lived here for 17 years. The only troubles we ever had was a neighbor who insisted on giving us her (not very well made) homemade wine and was able to leave it in our house while we were gone and a neighbor girl who was 4 who kept coming over to our house when we were gone to watch TV. lol
Crime in my town is nearly nil. I mean we had a grass fire on a farm outside of town about 3 weeks ago. We drove by to see what was going on and there were about 25 cars of people parked along the road watching. Something as small as that is "entertainment" here. Sure nothing ever happens but nothing gets stolen.
