well BitTorrent is much more reliable as in, the credibility of the files. Most of the time if the file says one thing, it is that thing. No fake things, etc. Also, the RIAA is not ON to bittorrent yet so.. that's an advantage right there.

you can't just "use" BT though, like someone else said you need to find sites that have links to .torrent files with seeds etc.
