I've always been fascinated with beauty pageants. Part of it is the obvious appeal of having 50 (51?) beautiful women all arrayed there - it's like having a matched set or something. Honestly, after a while they become indistinguishable.
But it's also kind of a train-wreck fascination - seeing these women parade themselves for judgment, and ooooh the drama. I'm never sure whether I think these women are degrading themselves, or whether they're simply opportunistic and making the most of an asset - physical beauty - while they still can. Either way, that's entertainment.
