not Bora Bora or anything... but you can get quite reasonable accomodation on Moorea, and its pretty much as close to heaven as you can get.
a little bit more adventurous would be to head up from Tahiti into the Marquises...
Fiji is really cheap at the moment. due to recent coups. but that turmoil only really affected Nadi... not any of the outlying islands.
Bali is very cheap, but thats due to tragedy.
Kuta is far from being rebuilt.
but, its still inexpensive, and you donŽt have to stay in Kuta, there are other places to stay in Bali.
however, if your coming from the UK (and iŽm guessing youŽve had it with the Costa Del Sol and Ibiza), those flights may be very pricy.
i remember someone saying that parts of Cyprus are delightful... but thats second hand info.
