17 or 18 years
then after 5 years of some action
another 5 year break of nothing (unrequited love or what is the name for loving someone and not getting any response ? )
and since then (3/4 years ago) no more breaks planned.
the 5 year break was no problem at the time, don't know if i could do it again, not eager to try either :-)
