Ohio State will stumble a few times this season. This one is gonna be closer then the experts think.
For Ohio State it's simple - knock around a undersized Bowling Green D-line and win going away (alla Washington).
Or - run the ball as uneffectively as they have the last two weeks and lose.
The quarterback situation shouldn't have too much to do with the outcome if Ohio State can run. If they can't - there is a reason Krenzel beat out McMullen, and if you stop to think about it, that's pretty sad. If McMullen is forced to make throws, then Bowling Green will prevail. Zwick is the prized recruit with the cannon for an arm, Smith has the rare combination of size and speed at the quarterback position, but neither are ready to win this game. As far as talent and ability, Zwick and Smith make Krenzel and McMullen look real bad. So the future for Ohio State is very bright at the position, but that may not help on Saturday.
Remember, Craig Krenzel will make smart decisions and will not lose you any games. But he won't win you any either.
My predicitions: McMullen starts and may be relieved, but not due to poor play - Tressel may just want to see a change-up. Ohio State rushes for one-hundred and fifty yards. The offensive line will be the position that most needs to step up. Bowling Green quarterback Josh Harris (who is like 6-3 225) will pass for more yards than Phillip Rivers, but his o-line will give up big plays by the Bucks d-line. Bucks win by a touchdown.
That said, noone would be surprised if Josh Harris doesn't have himself a big coming out party on Saturday. There is a reason why Bowling Green is getting the atention they are getting in the polls.
