Well As i understand it Halx and crew are staying at the luxor, but im not sure for everyone else.
We need to start getting shit set before ocotober.. so here is an idea i was thinking.. im wondering if Everyone who is planning on attending can shoot me a PM of where they will be Real names & staying (if you know) just to get an official headcount
It's comming up in a month and 2 weeks you know
Here is some tentative plan i've whipped up..
Friday:
since people are comming in at all times of the day, pretty much on your own doing the casino thing, possibly a dinner at Batista's hole in the wall
which is a block away from the Barbary Coast on the strip. The place is known for it's old vegas feel, and outstanding value. Endless bottles of wine served with the entrees, Appetizer, Entree w/pasta and cappicunino generally range in price from $18-$26 a plate.
After that, it's up to people if they want to do the tourist/ casino thing or just stay out all night in casino clubs. If so.. there are lots of great clubs such as "rain" and "ghostbar" in the Palms, or the Pink Taco in the Hardrock, or Ra in the Luxor (which phred loves)
Saturday:
For those who like to get up early.. There is always the great buffets of vegas for breakfast. I feel the best breakfast (good food, not too upscale, and cheap) is served at the Gold Coast. Their Port O' Call buffet is 4.99 for breakfast and has over a hundred items for consumption. Ranging from wafflehouse fare, to custom omlets, mongolian anbd chinese food, carving stations, and a variety of authentic mexican breafast dishes such as Choirizo, Machaca and migas. If you are up then, might as well go sightseeing right?
Buy yourself a bus pass for 5 dollars and hop on the 401 or 302 (strip and strip express) and ride up to the stratosphere and walk oyour way down. A lot of people dont think the strip is very long, but you really cant walk it in a day. It's a bit over 15 miles long i believe. If like taking pictures of stuff, this is the best time to do it. Saturday afternoon is the best time to walkaround being a tourist.. you're pretty safe in the sketchy part of the strip, and there are plenty of people bustling around doing the same thing.. great fun.
Around lunchtime possibly try to get some lunch at this great place on the strip with a fireplace (the name excapes me right now, but Spleen knows what im talking about) or do your own thing until the evening. Then those interested in such an activity could take the strip bus up to the OG and partake in some of our breathtaking Las Vegas Strippers
Sunday:
If anyone is interested this day could be spent rounding up tourist stuff, sighteseeing and possibly a barb-que at a local park. Getting to the park may prove to be a bitch, but using your shiny 24hour bus bass it IS possible. If for some reason that doesnt go down, at least we could meet somewhere and take a big group picture before people start heading home.
Like i said.. this is just a suggestion.. but i think it's not too farfetched.. right?
Suggestions are welcome.
