I drink it everyday in my coffee or tea, and with protein drinks. I drink it instead of milk; because you don't really want to be in the room with me after I have much milk; cheese and yogurt are okay, though.
Not everybody likes soy milkbut you get used to it, and regular milk tastes odd to me now. I also like chocolate soymilk; it does make a good mix with protein powder.
Like somebody else said, always get sweetened soymilk; unsweetened tastes like chalk. (Actually, soymilk is always going to be sweetened unless it specifically says "unsweetened"). Also, "enriched" soymilk means that they've added calcium, vitamin D, and other things that people expect in milk. So you might want to go for that, though you don't have to.
There are about a zillion brands. Silk is the brand you find in supermarkets that aren't really into alternative foods -- guess it must be made/distributed by someone major. Vitasoy, Pacific Soy, Wildwood are all good brands. Note that not all soy milk is kept in the dairy case; Silk and Wildwood are, but a lot of other brands come in a vac/sealed box that doesn't need refrigeration. So you may have to look elsewhere in the store for it, maybe over by the bottled water or nonrefrigerated soft drinks.
The good thing about the nonrefrigerated boxes is that you can keep them in your dorm room even if you don't have a fridge. Bad thing is, you have to refrigerate them after you open them. So find a fridge, or chug fast. If you can get small-sized boxes -- they come in six-packs-- that would be ideal.
