I think Chris summed it up nicely. Personally, I have trouble digesting the new "punk" (and I am having trouble even categorizing them as punk) bands that we have today. I guess if they labled themselves as something other then what they aren't, possibly people wouldn't get so turned off by bands like them. I think the hip hop community would feel just about the same if coffee house poets starting referring to themselves as rappers
