I started balding at 18 too...didn't become noticeable until 23 or so.
A couple of pieces of advice:
1) Acceptance is a good option. Everything else you can do to prevent baldness has got severe drawbacks.
2) Do not grow your (remaining) hair long. No woman I've ever talked to has liked that option.
2A) Cutting your hair short will make it look like you have more of it.
3) Work out. Give the ladies (I'm assuming you're straight) something else to look at!
4) Use sunscreen. Melanoma on the scalp is NOT a good thing. Alternatively, wear hats (I can't stand them, so sunscreen is my option).
5) If you're white, grow some sort of facial hair to "balance" your face out. Few white men look good with no hair at all.
