help with wines?
Does anyone know anything about Romanian wines? Specifically, I'm interested in the La Cetate Merlot 2000. I know it's from Carl Reh in Bucharest, which is part of a large German corporation, but I can't find it anywhere here (western US).
So, I know there *has* to be someone on this board who's either been there, or lives somewhere where it's available, and has tasted it.
I'm curious because I'm planning a wedding in Krakow this winter, and the reception site has this wine, along with another Reh wine, a "River Route Marnot", which I'm guessing is the Polish translation of a merlot rose; or a Chilean cab (Gato Negro, I think).
Any thoughts or recommendations?
