sony: very good and they have amd but expensive
dell: great quality and support, they always have some 10% off coupons and/or dollar off coupons. They have most of the time around $250 (sometimes even $400 and more) Mail In rebate but don't count on those money cuz there is 50/50 chance that you will get it back. also don't buy their 5100 and 1100 models because they use desktop pentium 4.
hp: you can always get some cheap ones in staples and they have amd but their videocard and sound sucks. they have at least $100 MIR + free usb floppy disk + staples coupons and their rebate center is great too.
