exactly. making sure your diet is clean is your best start, and you should also be doing cardio. crunches, reverse crunches, hanging leg lifts, etc. are needed to add mass and definition. you can have brick-like abs but no one will be able to see it if your body fat% isn't in check. good luck and hope it goes well.
