Sucks to be the kittens, but seriously - stop manufacturing for however long it takes them to get the kittens out of an area that they clearly should not have been, or let them get killed?
Stopping work costs the company a lot of money, as then they end up paying employees to stand around and talk while the kitten gets rescued.
It sounds to me very fishy, sort of like PETA has a grudge against Toyota and "planted" the kittens and waited to see what would happen.
