My idea of the perfect burger:
- 8-12 oz (250-375 g) pre-cooked weight of beef, iron-skillet seared to medium
- Bun (crown and base, NO SESAME SEEDS) of size to hold the cooked beef patty
- one leaf iceberg, slightly smaller in size than the patty
- one slice beefeater tomato, about 3/8 inch (10 mm) thick and slightly smaller in diameter than the patty
- one slice sweet red onion, about 1/4 inch (6 mm) thick and slightly smaller in diameter than the patty
- 1 oz (30 mL) Heinz 57 sauce, applied to flat side of bun crown
