Not an American, but I don't trust the US Goverment and I certainly don't trust my own (Australian). Considering the stuff that they get away with right before everyone's eyes ("Children Overboard" scandal, frex), I shudder to think what they do behind closed doors.
Sure, there are things that probably shouldn't be public knowledge. But I think such is outweighed by things that we should know, but certain forces make sure we don't.
