I'm another Mach 3 user who was considering going to a straight razor for simplicity and savings. When I read up on straight razor use and care though, it sounds even more involved and time consuming. Having to buy the leather strop to whet the razor, and then the right polishing cream and from what I read it takes 24-48 hours for a straight razor to get it's edge back (though they used a special term for it) after use. Guess I'll just stick with the Mach 3 for now, but I'm considering a Norelco wet razor.
