This happened just a few minutes ago:
I finally decided that I wanted to try out that whole pay-per-view thing that my cable box supported. As I was surfing through the movies and I stumbled on the spice network. Naturally at 1AM in the morning, I chose whatever that channel was playing and paid the $10 for the 6-hour viewing block. Needless to say the movies got the job done for me, but as I was cleaning up and getting ready to goto bed...I turned off the TV and then looked at the VCR.
I'd be damned if it didnt say "REC".
I realised my little brother wanted to record anime overnight. And I just watched porn and recorded it on his tape.
Talk about a panic. I rewound to 10 minutes before my surfing the PPV channels and switched to the public access channel, then started to record again.
Its still recording, and in an hour or so all traces of it will be gone.
That was *so* damn close.
