As you can tell from the graph Hampster related injuries skyrocketed in the 50's when they were first introduced into homes as household pets. When PETA was founded in 1961 they convienced more than 13 states to ban Tame Hampsters. After that the injury rate subsided until 1971 when the Bans were lifted. Since then the injury rate hasn't declined. Chances for Hampster attacks rise when combined with Gay men, a match and an Anus.. you figure it out.
