Got started with RPG's in middle school with Rifts and Starwars, in High School I hung out with some uber-nerds who actually created (and are now marketing-- http://www.tabcreations.com ) their own role playing system. It was pretty damned sweet. Now I've gotten into 3rd edition D&D, and have played Demon: The Fallen a few times on the White Wolf system.
I don't usually DM, cuz I suck at it, but have huge admiration for some friends of mine that can do it really well.
And you can -never- have too many dice. I personally have a set of tiny dice that I carry around as a good luck charm.
