I've read this article before. And I highly enjoyed reading... However, there are fans out there that take these (or similar) rules far too seriously and make an ass out of themselves defending these rules. One rule I personally don't like is the "we" refering to the sports team you are rooting for. One, using pronouns to refer to the team you are rooting for is simple and uncluttered. Two, the "we" referes to the team, the owners, the fans, etc. After all, jerseys change, players chagne, owners change, managers change, coaches change, stadiums change, cities change, even names change. The fans themselves are sometimes the most permanent fixture in sports. Therefore we is certainly ok in my book!
