just watched The Grey Zone. Set in 1944 Auschwitz, asks the question: what is acceptable to do in order to stay alive?
Very understated filming, lots of dread, but no horror. Not an obvious play for emotion or sympathy in it. The "punch" happens as a result of the whole movie, not any speilbergian tricks.
